CATS Lynx Blue Line Extension, Charlotte, NC

Client: Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS)

Project: A new rail system was built to extend the LYNX Blue Line from the northeast campus of UNC-Charlotte to uptown Charlotte along Tryon Road.

Partners: LANE, SINE Wall

Challenges: Tryon Road is a heavily trafficked section of busy downtown Charlotte. Additionally, the wall was designed to support the rail needed to reflect an artist’s unique design. The project faced several accelerated scheduling adjustments.

Result: This unique, aesthetically pleasing and fully functional wall was developed on time.
